Traditionally, the women have always played a very important part in the life of the Church of Pentecost. From its founding days back in the 1930s, it was the women who supported James McKeown, not only in prayer but also financially.

This was quite a venture for a small rural church to take on and was a steep learning curve for us all. As a result we have discovered much hidden talent within our church fellowship and we are pleased to report the venture has been a success.

There are so many details of this part of my life that I could elaborate on, demonstrating God’s faithfulness
and power, but I’ve tried to keep things brief!

The morning of St. Patrick’s Day dawned cold, wet and miserable, but that did not dampen the spirits of the young folk from ‘Christians in Action’. A great deal of thought, prayer and hard work had gone into the preparations for the parade and nothing was going to stop them. The float was decorated, booklets about Saint Patrick were purchased and balloons (with the text ‘Jesus is the Way’) were ready to be given to the boys and girls en route.

Golf, it says ‘Is a game of holes.’ Life is the same - full of holes. So many people find themselves in the “Holes of Life” and are quietly struggling along alone, many times never finding healing or wholeness.
